This care training course is aimed at care workers who work with service users who have Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including Aspergers. Candidates will gain a good, solid understanding of what ASD is as well as the effect it has on an individual and their support needs. This is a fantastic course for all working with people who have learning disabilities/difficulties and adds significantly to a worker’s confidence in the support they provide to people who use services.

The course covers types, causes & theoretical models of dementia, an individual’s experience of dementia, the person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia, communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia and effective ways of working with a range of individuals who have dementia

Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Medication Handling and Administration for Care Settings (RQF)
DURATION
This nationally accredited and recognised qualification is designed specifically for staff working in a care environment. It is based on units developed by Skills for Care, the sector skills council for people working in adult social care in the UK and gives a much more detailed understanding of medication than more usual basic introductory courses.
