Social Works Ltd was established in 2003. We are specialists in all areas of social care and work with social workers, care staff, front line managers, directors, volunteers, people who use services, their carers and relatives.

Our training covers a range of courses, including: the Care Certificate, 1st Aid, Health and Safety, mandatory, specialist, QCF short courses and full QCF Diplomas at Levels 2, 3 and 5.

Social Works Ltd is a specialist social care training and consultancy company, and as such all of our consultants, trainers and staff have extensive direct social care experience. We come from a variety of disciplines ourselves, and our team includes home care workers, social workers, residential care workers, ambulance paramedics, nurses, advocates and medical practitioners.

We work with over 30 organisations and our customers include: Royal Star and Garter Homes, Royal Alfred’s Seafarers Society, The Brandon Trust, Livability, ThreeCs and Headways as well as Lewisham, Lambeth, Sutton and Merton Councils.

Our Advocacy Service is dedicated to giving carers and service users a voice and a way to be genuinely involved in care planning, assessment, review and safeguarding investigations. Our consultancy work includes everything from policy development to Independent Complaints enquiries. All our activity from around the company feeds into our in-house training and staff CPD programme, making sure we stay sharp, fresh and up-to-date.

In training, we know that focussing on the work experience and the knowledge of our trainers is not enough. It’s far too easy to focus on the material that needs to be covered rather than whether anyone has actually learnt anything. Therefore we put just as much effort into how our trainers teach and how we ensure that people engage, learn and have fun.

Social Works Limited is registered with the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC), the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Future Quals to deliver nationally accredited qualifications.

“Social Works do all our training now through the RQF for a number of our branches. Our new staff are coming in now with more confidence and happy to have a ‘proper qualification’ under their belt. As well as the quality of the training, getting it all funded has saved us a small fortune” Kath, Head of Training & Staff Development.

‘As a growing Care Company we were looking for a training solution that not only met the care regulations but was tailored to the needs of our Clients and Carers. John and his team are always there to answer any questions and support us with effective delivery of the Care Certificate. Liezl, Dementia Awareness Trainer, has gone the extra mile to ensure participants receive practical dementia as well as theory based learning. Many learners report they feel fully involved and can relate to the course content. At a recent CQC visit the Inspectors were so impressed they asked for John’s card! We have a strong partnership that promotes theory into practice, ensuring safety, wellbeing and person-centred care. Managing Care has grown in confidence thanks to Social Works knowledge and experience in the field of social care training.’
