Just some of the courses available funded by Skills for Care’s Workforce Development Fund:
-
Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medicines (RQF). This is a great partner to the Care Certificate. This nationally accredited and recognised qualification is designed specifically for staff working in a care environment. It is based on units developed by Skills for Care, the sector skills council for people working in adult social care in the UK.
Learners will get an understanding of relevant legislation, along with the policies and procedures set for the safe storage and administration of medication. The course also provides an opportunity for learners to develop their knowledge about the wider health and social care sector. - Level 3 Award in Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (RQF). This training gives learners the core information they need about the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Deprivation of Liberty Standards that accompany it. Ideal for managers and specialists across the sector
- Level 2 Award in Dementia Awareness (RQF). Ensure all your staff have the knowledge and skills to work with people who have dementia - a core requirement for nearly all care settings. This course is available at Levels 2 & 3.
Don’t forget, we can help you access funding for all these courses.
All the above qualifications are externally accredited and as well as leading to a ‘stand-alone’ certificate, can be ported across into a learners full QCF (the new NVQ) Diploma portfolio. See skills for Care’s Skills Selector to find out more.
